March 19th

Today started with hotel breakfast, it was quite underwhelming. Our teachers had already arived when we got downstairs, but from the pupils, we were the first. There was yoghurt, which wasn’t cooled, so it was lukewarm (second day in a row that i’ve had lukewarm yoghurt). There was also white bread and pancakes, i don’t like white bread so i asked for brown, which i got! There was a strange machine which toasted our bread, it went on a kind of treadmill into a machine and then it fell out toasted. After breakfast we headed torwards ‘The britisch muesum’ it was huge. We split into groups and we went upstairs, i saw some things about greece and the roman empire, also about mummies (i also saw accual mummies!) i then went to discover some things for myself and walked around on my own. After a while i wanted to go back to the group and called them, i had ro walk over 10 minutes ro meet them (they were only halfway across the museum, thats how big it was!)They where at the lavarory, when i went to the bathroom with Evi, a women suddenly got ill (i’m not sure why i’m mentioning this.) After we went torwards the roman empire again and later to the gift shop. I was really tired at this point so i went back to the meeting point about ten minutes early. After we went to get lunch, i went with Mr Teunissen, Mrs Heesters and Izzie. We went to get crêpes, i had a salted caramel crêpe. After lunch we headed torwards westminster Abbey, for the selfie tour. I was in a group with Lucy, Niek and Evi. We first had to take a picture at the big ben, which went well because we were already there. After we had to walk to No 10, something to do with a peace sign and world war two. We walked in the wrong direction however, so we had to walk ten minutes back. This also didn’t go too well because the door where we had to go to was closed off with a bunch of gates. I thought you could enter at the orher side, so i send us around and we had to walk about 20 mintes, just to find out that it was also closed on that side. The entire selfie tour consisted of endless walking and going to the wrong place. It took a lot of energy and persuasion from me to get my group to keep walking. When we finallt got back, we headed torward the Mcdonalds for dinner. I had chicken nuggets and a Cadbury creme egg Mcflurry, the Mcflurry was really nice but i left it out for too long so it was quite melted.

After dinner we took the underground to ‘Westfield mall’, we went to Sephora, which was cool but underwhelming. I expected more. The mall was huge, but we only had about 1,5 hours in there before it closed. We then took the underground back to the hotel. We arrived at 22:15, we were supposed to be back at 21:30… Oops…
